Acceptance

By using MyThoughts ("the Service"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

The Service

MyThoughts is a personal journaling, to-do, and goal-tracking application. We provide:

  • Cloud sync across devices.
  • Offline-first functionality.
  • End-to-end encrypted Vault mode.
  • Voice capture and OCR scanning.

Your Account

  • You must sign in with a valid Google account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
  • You must not share your Vault recovery key with untrusted parties.

Your Content

  • You retain full ownership of all content you create.
  • We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your content.
  • We access your content only to provide the Service (sync, search, backup).
  • Vault content is end-to-end encrypted; we cannot access it.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for illegal purposes.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or disrupt the Service.
  • Upload malicious content or malware.
  • Impersonate other users.

Service Availability

  • We aim for high availability but do not guarantee 100% uptime.
  • The offline-first design means you can always access local data.
  • We may perform maintenance with reasonable notice.

Data & Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Key points:

  • We never sell your data.
  • You can export or delete your data at any time.
  • Vault data is end-to-end encrypted.

Termination

  • You may delete your account at any time.
  • We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.
  • Upon deletion, all server-side data is permanently removed within 30 days.

Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:

  • Loss of data (maintain your own backups for critical content).
  • Service interruptions.
  • Indirect or consequential damages.

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice. Continued use constitutes acceptance.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Mumbai, India.
